NFL Playoff Picture - Week 17

The season has ended and its time for the playoffs. Four teams in the NFC were playoff seeds after week 4 and the final seedings first appeared in week 14. In the AFC, three clubs maintained their playoff position from week 4, with week 13 seeing the final seeding for the first time. Denver took the AFC West based on a better record against common opponents (5-4, while Oakland and San Diego went 4-5).

Update: Did not expect the Giants to make it this far. Home teams going 7-1 is really surprising to me though. Never have the home teams gone 8-0 in the first 8 games in the wild card era. The Giants made sure that stat did not change this year.

Hard to pick against the Packers, looks like a budding dynasty in Green Bay.

Baltimore over SF, going with the Harbowl theory rather than the Giants are repeating 2008 theory, which would see them playing the Pats. Regardless, high hopes for conference championship games. Not disappointed in either game, good hard-nosed football.

Picking NE in a hope that my crappy picks continue, don't want to see another Boston championship.
